MC Law has taken the Energy Star Change a Light, Change the World Pledge. This Campaign is a national call-to-action to encourage individuals and organizations to help change the world, one light - one energy saving step - at a time. MC Law Office is pleased to get involved with this campaign and will prove that going green at home is as simple as changing a light bulb by donating one compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulb at every real estate closing transaction to replace an incandescent light bulb. Click here to learn more about our pledge. According to Energy Star, it is a fact that if every American household replaced just one standard bulb with a CFL, there would be enough energy saved to light more than 3 million homes for a year, cut annual energy costs more than $600 million, and prevent greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 80,000 cars. MC Law will do its best to encourage homeowners to make a pledge to change at least one additional standard light bulb as well. Click here to Take the Energy Star Pledge. All results will be tracked on Energy Star and can be viewed. MC Law is in the process of selecting a non-profit organization dedicated to making residential properties more eco-friendly. From the many existing extraordinary non-profit organizations, we will be narrowing down our choices to five organizations. At which point, we will be asking you to vote which non-profit organization is your favorite. MC Law will donate 1% of our SAVE YOUR GR$$N proceeds to the organization that receives the most votes.
